I’d always wondered why she’d done “it”-
and I was never told.
Inside I’d felt pity…
my heart had felt so cold.
She told me she didn’t want “it”-
that what she did was “right.”
She was strong through it all-
while I was weak and couldn’t fight.
“It” was all one big mistake
that is what she’d say.
When bringing this upon herself-
she’d still wish “it” away.
“It” could have been so beautiful.
“It” could have grown in life.
She was so cruel to hurt “it.”
She was a child of Christ.
“It” was what she called “it”-
and when she did-
I shed tears of pain.
“It” was her unborn child
Without a day or name.

Stage of the Sinner
The face in the mirror tells us a story
It foreshadows her lack of a heart.
She makes not one speech-nor writes any words;
for the role, with her eyes she plays the part.
The deep seat of shame and wooden lain guilt
are felt through the eyes of her wounded soul.
The face in the mirror holds a false smile;
for of her actions God does know.
To those sitting closer her face it reveals
the secret behind the drapes in her mind
Though she tries to say not a word of her story;
through her eyes, the answers her audience finds.
There are sorrys she has made
they make no difference for inner peace.
The taunting scenes they will keep her hurting;
this play of guilt will never cease.
And though if you know, you may hate and despise
the face in the mirror you see.
I, too, am enraged at the face in the mirror,
the face a reflection of me!

A Mother's Song
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
I'm not supposed to think of all the times I've missed you!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
No one would understand
if they ever knew.
Everyday that passes by...
I think of you so clearly.
When I see a child of God...
I want to have you near me!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
I'm not supposed to think of all the times I've missed you!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
No one would ever understand
if they ever knew.
In the passing days that came...
they said, "it would be easy,"
If I'd known the truth; the pain
I'd never make you leave me!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
I'm not supposed to think of all the times I've missed you!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
No one would ever understand
if they ever knew.
Oh, my child now that you're gone...
I know I was so greedy
Since the day the 'Choice' was made-
I've lost myself completely!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
I'm not supposed to think of all the times
I've missed with you!
I'm not supposed to mourn you-but I do!
For you...they said, I "wouldn't mourn",
but, now I know it wasn't true!
Oh, my child...
What I would give-to spend one day with you!

Look in the mirror
Look in the mirror and you will see, you have been your worst enemy
Look in the mirror and you will see, you can't fool anyone not even me
Look in the mirror and you will see, that you have only hurt yourself and not me
Look in the mirror and what do you see, someone who lost everything including me
Look in the mirror and what do you see, someone who had love and set it free
Look in the mirror and you will see, someone who could of been someone to me
Look in the mirror and what do you see,
Look in the mirror and you will see,
you are your worst enemy
look the mirror...
can you see?
